Easy Turkey Stuffing Recipe to CompleteYour Holiday Dinner

Impress friends and family with this delicious,
but easy, holiday turkey stuffing recipe.
If this is your first big holiday dinner, or
if you've had trouble with soggy dressing
in the past, this stuffing recipe will give
you perfect dressing every time.

To begin with, I always bake my turkey stuffing recipe separate from the turkey so I can leave the turkey open. This allows the turkey to fully cooked inside and out, helping you to avoid underdone turkey at your holiday dinner. There's nothing
worse than having the whole clan seated at the table, only to carve the turkey and have red juice run out!

But- just because you bake your turkey stuffing recipe separately from the turkey, it doesn’t mean you can’t have that juicy turkey taste. (Be sure and scroll down for recipe hints and variations)

Prior to cooking your turkey, remove the giblets and cut them up into small pieces. I even boil up the turkey neck and remove as much meat as possible.

Ingredients for Easy Turkey Stuffing Recipe

Giblets and turkey meat from the neck
1 pkg Seasoned Stuffing Bread crumbs
3/4 c. onions, chopped
1/2 c. butter or one stick
2 tbs olive oil
2 c turkey broth from cooking turkey. If you can’t get enough, supplement with canned or packaged chicken broth
3 eggs
1/2 c celery, chopped
1 c chopped mushrooms
1 tsp poultry seasoning
¼ tsp salt
½  tsp pepper

Directions for Cooking

In a heavy skillet, sauté the giblets in 1 tbs butter and 1 tbs olive oil for 3-4 minutes.

Add chopped onions, celery and mushrooms, sautéing for another 3-4 minutes.

Add broth from either turkey or chicken, seasonings, remaining butter and salt and pepper. Stir mixture over low heat for about 10 minutes.

Put package of seasoned bread crumbs ino a large bowl. Slowly pour giblet mixture over crumbs, tossing them to coat thoroughly until liquid is absorbed.

Whisk the 3 eggs and add to stuffing, stirring thoroughly to mix eggs in. The stuffing mix should be sticky but if it’s not, add a little more broth and combine.

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Pour stuffing mix into an lightly greased, 8x8 pan. Cover with foil and bake for about 45 minutes. Take tin foil off and bake uncovered for an additional 10 minutes or so to get the top of the stuffing crispy.

The top of your turkey stuffing should be golden brown.

This Easy Turkey Stuffing is delicious topped with gravy.
