Flaxseed bread recipe for your Bread Machine
Ingredients
1 1/3 c water
2 tbs canola oil
3 tbs honey
1 1/2 c white bread flour
1 1/3 c whole wheat bread flour
1/2 c flaxseed, coarsely ground
1 1/2 tsp salt
2 tsp active dry yeast
Add listed ingredients to your bread machine pan according to manufacturers directions.
Bake on White or Normal Cycle and start.
Yield 1 1/2 pound loaf.
FlaxSeed Banana Bread Recipe
Ingredients
1/2 c ground flax seed
3 bananas, mashed
1/4 c vegetable oil
1/2 c white sugar
2 eggs
1 1/2 c all-purpose flour
1/2 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp salt
1/4 c whole flaxseed
1/2 c chopped pitted dates
Directions
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
Lightly grease an 8x4 inch loaf pan.
If you're using flaxseeds, grind 1/2 cup and set aside.
Mash Bananas in large mixing bowl. Add oil, sugar and eggs and blend.
In another mixing bowl, blend dry ingredients - flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, ground flax seed and 1/4 cup whole flax seed.
Slowly add flour mixture to banana mixture and blend.
Fold in dates.
Put batter into prepared loaf pan.
Bake for 55 to 60 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the loaf comes out clean.
