Deep Breathing Can Speed up Your Metabolism
Deep breathing offers many health benefits - increased energy, clearer focus, improving asthma, detoxing your body and more. But deep breathing can also jumpstart your metabolism to increase weightloss and it's simple to do.
It seems to good to be true, but studies confirm that deep breathing can speed up your metabolism and help you lose weight.
Deep Breathing and Weightloss
Studies done by California university found that simple deep breathing exercises can help burn up to 140% more calories than riding a stationary bike. When riding a stationary bike, you can burn up to 250 calories in 30 minutes so if you spent those 30 minutes doing deep breathing exercises instead, you would have burned 350 calories.
Excess body fat must be combined with oxygen BEFORE it can be released from your body, which means if you increase the amount of oxygen in your blood by doing deep breathing exercises, you can increase the rate that body fat disappears!
Deep breathing doesn't even have to be "exercises," all you have to do is consciously breath into the deepest part of your lungs, filling them completely and exhaling slowly.
Toxins are stored in fat cells in our bodies and since deep breathing helps detoxify, as we lose weight, toxins won't be left to circulate in our bloodstreams, causing fatigue and damaging our health.
Most people only use 25% of their lung capacity but it's a proven fact that increased oxygen helps boost metabolism so if you make a conscious effort to use the other 75% of your lung capacity, you can lose weight much more quickly than if you skip the deep breathing.
Deep breathing can not only increase our metabolism but also give us better health. It's easy and it's free. What could be a better weightloss tip?
